Ashen Oath – Indie Game Project.Hello everyone, my name is Đinh Sơn Chí, an independent developer with no formal background in programming or game development. Ashen Oath is my very first project, created entirely by myself with the huge support of Rim Phan (music & setting), and the guidance of ChatGPT along the way. Before starting this journey, I only had about 6 months of self-learning through YouTube tutorials. I had no degree, no experience in coding, and no drawing or design skills. Every asset I use is taken from free community resources — made by talented artists I deeply respect. My goal is not to show technical perfection, but to prove that with passion and persistence, even someone with nothing can still build a world to share. After 3 months of effort, we now have a core combat system that focuses on real-time action: Movement: Idle → Walk → Dash Combat: Combo attacks, Parry (success & fail), Knockback, Enemy AI Tactical gameplay where survival depends on skill and experience, not grinding stats. This demo is still in a very rough state — no UI yet, and many assets may look mismatched. But I wanted to share it now, because every bit of feedback and support means the world to me. 

What this game is (and isn’t): Not an RPG with leveling or stats. Every player starts equally fragile — anyone can die at any moment. The only way forward is to master the combat mechanics, think strategically, and adapt. The story will be dark and heavy, carrying weighty themes — not for those seeking lighthearted entertainment. This is a game made with bare hands, zero budget, and 100% passion. Press "J" to attack and time your combo up to 3 times.

Press "K" to Parry/Counter Attack with the right timing.

Press "L" to perform Dash, dashing a distance and being immune to damage.
